Bring a sledgehammer, it would be easier than removing the BI PC from where it is screwed into the wall. But also wear a mask because my alerts are simultaneously posted to Google Cloud and BI Alerts folder.
All joking aside, it all depends how paranoid you are, and the cost the OP is willing to bear. I would forget to change out the SD cards so they would probably be failed due to limited writes if I ever needed them! Nothing wrong with the hidden NAS though, good plan, but mines currently loaned out.
