You will need a larger switch or 2 smaller ones. Larger switches have fans and can be very noisy...
If noise is an issue, I would use two of these Amazon.com: ZyXEL 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Smart Managed PoE Switch with 70 Watt Budget - Fanless Design [GS1900-8HP]: Computers & Accessories
depending on how you set it up you will get 13-14 cams on them...later you can expand...

I would not put a switch in the attic...drop the lines into one of the closets in a room..
if you dont mind the noise (im talking very noisy)...then any name brand poe switch will work..look for a managed gigabit model..
