Ajax NVR with non-Ajax camera

Hello everyone,

I'm rather news to the security / cams world and I've purchased two years ago an Ajax system which I'm super happy with.
I used to have a Hikvision and Hikvision NVR and these two were rather difficult to combine with the Ajax eco system.

I'm no equiped with an Ajax NVR and an Ajax turretcam (8 MP and f/4mm) which works great. I've now connected my Hikvision to the Ajax NVR and I can see that some features are no longer available: the white led night vision assistance as well as the high end detection features.

Do you have noticed the same ?

I've been using Ajax NVRs and Ajax camera for a few months now. The system supports, vehicle, human and pet detection for the Ajax cameras however for ONVIF cameras (like your Hikvision one). It seems they will only support regular motion detection for now. Im hoping with future firmware updates these 'advance detection' features should be supported for non AJAX ONVIF cameras.

Right, that's what I thought. So that makes sense that the night vision assistance white LED is not supported. Sigh
