Alert Action is not sending email - what am I missing?

I set up an Alert Action to send an email and it doesn't work. I've tried two different SMTP servers and two different email addresses as the recipient. I manually trigger the camera to test, no email is sent. Same alert configuration works in the Trigger tab Immediate Actions. Any ideas?

What does the BI log show? Does it show it sent or failed?

What about the outbox of the gmail email you use for BI - is it in there?

Nothing in the log as an alert action. Log and Gmail show everything as expected when I do a trigger immediate action.

Yes, Profile 5 is active. I added a push notification and it doesn't work either. Really at a loss.

So strange that all of this works when I use the Trigger tab Immediate Actions. The problem with that is that I need AI to confirm before sending the alert.

I entered the AI objects and it worked. Does this mean it'll work properly when AI confirms it? I hope so. It's strange that a manual trigger doesn't work.

A manual trigger wont work if you dont have the required AI object in the image when you trigger manually - because you have set it to only send an alert when AI confirms a trigger.

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate all of the replies.

The alerts worked last night. Since I'm really only concerned about raccoons and the damage they are causing to my property, I'm going to need to find better ways to dial in the AI so I get better results. I'm going to make some changes tonight and see how they work. I ran some raccoon clips through AI testing in BI using the ipcam-animal model and raccoons are identified as fox, squirrel and raccoons. Percentages seem to be in the 40% - 50% range. Sending these alerts to my Pushover email address for these notifications worked well. If I missed the first notification, it would repeat it in 30 seconds.
