Is it worth paying a little extra and upgrading to these instead?

2CD2642FWD-IS

Those have replaced the 2632

I like the IQ of 2632 at 2.8mm, however it's almost impossible to get an exact focus manually.

I like the Huisun 10x. I would now go with the Huisun 10x 3x (3-9mm) before going with another 2642

Well one package just turned up with 4 cameras in, so probably 2nd one from different address is coming tomorrow.

visually, all looks good, the labels look genuine, everything is in the box as it should be, manual in english, colour box etc.

logged into the camera, it recognises the SD card this time, has latest firmware etc.

only thing im disappointed about is the newer model 42 which replaced the 32 range, seems to lack auto iris :( whereas 32 models had auto iris.

that i can probably live with, but rest looks good so far.

ive done prtHardInfo on 1 of the cameras, heres the trace.

Looks all correct - I don't think there are Chinese versions of those cameras anyway.

Thanks, is auto iris something they may implement again in future? Or likely gone for good? Just made me wonder if they just haven't put it back yet because it's a totally different firmware to the 32 series cameras. The backend looks more like the NVR now.

It did feature on the 32 version of the camera, had several with it.. Was all China region though.

But appears to be missing on the 42 camera.
