Depends.

Depends on how well Alro's engineers lock down the Arlo Q and the associated cloud service.

IF you follow the IPCT wiki security recommendations and use a VPN server on your router, you can mitigate the cyber security threats on all your LAN devices, including any IP PoE cameras.
( that is make it more "safe" )

You can go further with VLANs or a isolated physical LAN

If you follow the recommendations to use Blue Iris on a system with dual nics you can have a very secure environment for your camera.

If you are using Blue Iris - this particular camera is a very nice deal for an indoor rated cameras. ( works well for many on porches and areas protected from the rain )
