So I installed an Annke 4K bullet cam recently: the i91BL model. I unfortunately discovered that it's 4K stream uses an encoding not (yet) supported by my security system software (Sighthound Video Pro). It streams in h265 and SHV plans to add support for that encoding in an as-yet released version 7.5. (Although I would have to get a beefier computer to get past my current SHV version 5.1.7 anyway.)
The Annke camera has a "sub" stream that can be set to MJPEG, but it's max resolution is 640x480. It allows me to add the camera feed to SHV.
The problem is that after you set the sub stream to MJPEG, the cameras web interface's "Live View" no longer displays the high resolution feed - just a solid gray box.
I can change the live view using a menu to select the MJPEG stream, but the resolution is low of course. I suspect that when I change the encoding of the "sub" stream, it is also changing them coding of the "main" stream. The web interface expects the H2 65 stream and thus all you get is a solid gray box. That's my theory anyway.
Does anyone know how to edit the settings so that the web interface live view can show the high resolution stream while still sending the sub stream to SHV with the MJPEG encoding?
