I have just purchased one and am waiting for it to arrive, likely next week.

The camera has many features I have not previously experienced (especially the analytics) - at present I am torn between using it to cover my front porch area or driveway.

I wish I could have found more reviews on this particular model but am taking my chances based on provided specifications and promotional videos.

This is a brand new model with dual 1.8" sensors. The other model tested had 1.8" + 2.8" sensor.

I am expecting this to be a lot better due to matched sensor sizes and no doubt some of the kinks of the other camera have been ironed out.

but tell me this? why 2 of the same FOV at 2.8mm? Can these be tweaked to cover 2 different areas like the boobie cam?

One is IR and one is Full Color

That isn't the purpose of this camera. The two cameras are intended to provide a full color image. One lens can run a slower shutter to pick-up color and the other runs faster in B/W to pickup details and then the two images are stitched together to provide the color image.

The black and white is IR and so it can detect in full darkness without additional light source like it is necessary for full color

IPC-HDW5449H-ASE-D2 This is an image from dahua which shows the camera in a completely dark room with only ir on
The camera has also a calibration menu that is needed to "fix the dual lens" and fuse correctly the two different images.

1) How far away is the camera from the billboard?
2) Is this the DH-IPC-HDW5449H-ASE-D2 (1/1.8" + 1/1.8" CMOS) or DH-IPC-HFW5449T1-ASE-D2 (1/1.8” + 1/2.8”) ?
