I've noticed I don't bounce was well as I used to and somehow the floor has gotten further away, too.
Last time I fell that hard was about 7 years ago. My nieces husband had died unexpectantly and we had gone to the funeral up north of Knoxville. We stayed in a cheap hotel overnight. Got up early the next morning, jumped into the shower tub, one of those cheap, thin metal ones with just a cheesy shower curtain and the toilet installed right next to the tub. To make the tub look shiny, they used "
spray wax" on it. As soon as I stepped into the tub and got the curtain closed, both of my feet shot out from under me. On the way down, I grabbed the shower curtain, which came down on top of my head, along with the cheap metal shower rod. I fell backwards out of the tub, landing squarely on the edge toilet bowl, snapping it off the mounting bolts and shattering the grout under it, moving the whole thing over about a foot. I also cracked the toilet bowl with my lower back and it broke the water feed line.
My wife heard the sonic boom, came running in, and all she could see was water spraying everywhere, shower running with a big motionless lump on the hard tile floor, covered with a shower curtain in a massive puddle of water Water every where. She pulled the curtain off of me and all I could do was exhale......damn toilet bowl knocked the ever loving wind cleanly out of me. I couldn't talk, couldn't even say "fucking ouch". After about 30 seconds, when my body allowed me to finally inhale, I thought I had broke my damn back. I laid in the pool of water for a minute, then decided to see if I could move my toes and legs. Alls good there. I crawled to the bed and pulled myself up, back just absolutely killing me.
Wife drove me to the nearest town to the band-aid hospital. They checked me out, did X-rays and sent me on my way with muscle relaxers and pain pills.
Yeah, I got more stories of stupid human tricks in my journal......just not going to divulge those.
