Asus Router Selection

I am looking for a new router. Currently looking between a RT-AC68U and RT-AC86U. If I am correct both can be used with OpenVPN and Aimesh. The Aimesh is just incase I need it later. Which would you recommend?

the 86 is a newer more powerful model...both will work...
