Apologize in advance for the noob questions, I am new to IP cameras and NVR's.

I want to record 2 cameras with best video quality and frame rate. Should i sacrifice resolution for frame rate or vise versa?
Example: 2048*1536 @ 15fps or 1080P @ 25fps

Bitrate type? Should I choose constant or variable?

Max Bitrate? Out of the box it is set to 2048. Seems low

SVC On or Off?

Thanks!

Also, I read somewhere that if you set the bitrate on the camera to 2048 you want to set the NVR to something higher. Any truth to this?

Thanks!

2048x1536 @ 15fps is plenty. Fenderman has posted a video before showing that 15fps is the sweet spot and anything above a bit overkill.

Bitrate use variable, constant is a waste

Max? Trial and error. I find 4096 is plenty for those settings.

SVC Off unless you are planning on streaming to multiple users at the same time.

Set the bitrate in the NVR. It'll be fine.

It's trial and error for best setup. 2048kbps is fine for me but for a busy traffic junction would be near useless.

Do you have link to that video? @fenderman maybe? I'd be interested to watch it.
