Best full-res stream URL with h.254 or hevc on 2CD2635F

Hi folks,

I recently got 4x 2CD2635F.
The cams are great but if I chose the high-res stream (#1) either with h.264 or h.265, from time to time the picture is distorted (grey/green).
It might be that my software (Xeoma Pro) does not take the correct URL for streaming. The software detects several URLs serving the full-res stream but I don't know which to choose.
If I put the URL into VLC, the picture is distorted from time to time as well. So it's not a problem of Xeoma or the server.
I don't think it's the network either, I think it comes from the camera.

Firmware is V5.3.6 build 151221 with international language support.

Ideas?

How is the camera connected? ethernet? if so what kind of cable did you use?

assuming the cable is not CCA. try setting the camera to cbr. What is the bitrate set to?

I don't know if the cable is CCA. It's a cat7 infrastructure build by a professional company, quality assured by measurments. I don't think it's the network.

Your bit rate is low try setting it to 4096.. also use h.264.. in the image you posted your iframe interval does not match your fps

Switching to 4096 and h.264 put's almost 100MBit load on the servers interface.
Since the server only has a 100Mbit interface, this is too much.
I'd prefer h.265 over h.264.
Using h.264 doesn't solve the problem, anyway. I already tested that.

I put the iframe interval to the same as the fps.

What are the server specs? did someone sell you a package deal?

It's a raspberry pi 3 plus extra disk for recording.
The vendor of the software claims it's capable of up to 11 FullHD cameras.
I have 4x 3MP cameras.
Maybe it's just too weak.

With the current settings, the problem is occurring only from time to time.
Maybe I'll switch to a faster PC, maybe not.

Problem solved: I reduced the 2nd stream (MJPEG) used for preview in resolution and framerate.
This reduced server interface load so that the main stream (h.264, 3MP, 15fps) is no more affected.

That's only 4Mbps - nowhere near 100Mbps.
