BI 4 & 5 Both have Mem Leak with I5-8400 using suggested vc driver. Suggestions?

I have a NVR that was running BI 4 that I could not stop the RAM from climbing over 14GB on BI and crashing the system. I upgraded to BI 5 to see if that would fix the problem it did not. It takes roughly 2.5 hours for BI to kill my system. I am viewing the cameras locally on a TV. I have 24 Two MP cameras with Direct to Disk on all cameras. I have attached the NVR specs and the latest BI.reg file. Any help would be great. I am not sure where to go from here. NVR-Specs.jpg

Driver Version 24.20.100.6194 is known to be good: <link no longer works>

Really, any recent driver for this generation should be fine.

The memory leak is probably coming form something other than the driver as 7323 works..try the latest BI update as it notes that it resolves a memory leak.
 
Installed the latest version of BI and this machine still continues to be un-usable. The memory usage just keeps rising until the machine is not usable. Interesting thing is I have at least 12 more machines with the exact same hardware and no issues. Any more suggestions?

its got to be something other than the driver...time for a clean install of windows using the MS media creation tool
 
That is definitely an option. I would prefer to find what is causing the issue instead of just wiping it clean and starting over. It is a 6 hour trip to get to this location.

kill all unnecessary processes and see if the leak stops.
If you have someone at the location, ship a known good system there and swap them.
 
So I did a reset of this pc. Worked for a few months and now the system is chewing up ram. Takes like 20 min to use up 16GB... I am on 7323 driver with an 8th gen cpu. Running 5.2.2.2 x64 as of today. Is there no other trouble shooting to be done to figure out why this happens?

5.2.2.2 is a defective update. Revert back to 5.2.1.4.
Something has to change in your system for the leak to start happening. It is likely this latest update which made changes to intel HA. I am running the exact same driver on an elitedesk i5-8500 using 5.2.1.4. with no issues.
 
I get an error when trying to install the 5.2.1.4 version from the history page.

BlueIris.exe System Error

" The code execution cannot proceed because SeaMAX.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem. "
 
I suggest you backup your Blue Iris settings, then reinstall it from the original installer you downloaded, then install the update to 5.2.1.4.

For what its worth though, I'm not getting a memory leak on 5.2.2.3 (current latest) with an i7-8700K.
 
Well I was able to install 5.2.2.3. I still have a memory leak though. BI open for about 48 min and my ram is over 12GB of usage...

Sounds like you're using this in a commercial setting, but I'll add my anecdotal evidence anyway...

I'm having the exact same issues. I'm on the correct driver, and it persists with Intel Accel disabled. Long story short, I tracked it back to a single camera -- my La View doorbell. I disabled it and everything is fine. Can't figure out what the issue is.

Try disabling cams 1 by 1, or model by model in groups, to see if any of them are causing the problem.
