Plus when you have object detection on to reset and not trigger if an "object" 67% of the screen size or larger is seen, it won't trigger regardless of the camera as that plant was more than 67% of the image LOL.

Object detection was mentioned earlier in this thread, but this is the first time I actually grokked what it's doing, and now it sorta makes sense, so I just turned it off for this camera.
I walk up and down that stairway every day, and BI always captures my transits, so I was thinking that it was working pretty well. But I was stunned to see that it missed the giant plant. But now it sorta makes sense, like a "scene change" because it's so large.
FWIW, I've been using pretty much exclusively "Zones and Hot Spot" and "Simple" algorithm for years now because I'd rather get a false detect than no detect. YMMV
