Hopefully future cameras will be much quicker!
Were you able to change the adapter to the .1. subnet?
For $10 you will find a use for it. I find it way easier than the config tool.
Here are the PTZs we would recommend.
Best overall value on the ideal MP/sensor ratio:
Cheapest one but will struggle at night due to less than ideal MP/sensor ratio:

You will not be able to see the camera in IPCONFIG!
IPCONFIG is a command that you run on your PC to show the network configuration for the Network interfaces on that PC
You should be able to see the camera in the DAHUA config program, using the wrong program name or terminology can cause a great deal of confusion for all of us!
Glad you were able to finally get it to work!No I didnt figure out how to change the adapter.. I was supposed to plug it into the camera right? I couldnt see it anywhere.
And also - wow this empire is quite a bit more crisp than those amcrests. I would hope so for almost triple the cost

Make sure the IE tab is on.
Or try Internet Explorer. Sometimes these firmwares get wonky quick. Especially if the previous person updated firmware before they decided to sell it. Most here will factory reset 3 times.
It may be worth a deep factory reset where you provide power and hold reset for 1 minute and then let go.
Yeah Explorer is still baked into Windows because it uses aspects of it still, they just made it hidden.
As a practice, I set up every camera with Explorer and it has never been an issue.
How to enable native Internet Explorer in Windows 10 and 11:
- Open Notepad:
- Copy then paste the single line of code below into Notepad:
- CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application").Visible=true
- Save as OpenIE.vbs
- Make sure the the file name ends in .vbs not .txt, If it ends in .txt you must rename to .vbs
- Create a shortcut to the above file and double-click it anytime you want native Internet Explorer
- Download any of the plug-in the NVR or camera asks for.

Are you running max FPS ? Try 15
Substreams? On?
It’s a learning curve I’ve found worthwhile in the end.
