Is there no way to watch parts of the video that aren't alerts? I have hours and hours of video and I'm trying to watch one specific part that wasn't an alert, but the viewer just keeps skipping from alert to alert. Doesn't make a bit of sense. Why record all this time and not be able to watch it?

Of course you can..are you sure you actually recorded video? if using combine and cut (record tab) the timeline may show what looks like a recording even when none is present.
