BI running as service cannot connect via APP?

So is it to be expected that if BI is running as a service with no gui instance open that I cannot connect via my iPhone app?

No, that is not to be expected. If it's running as a service, you should be able to connect with either a browser or the smartphone app, even if the GUI is not running.

Does it start working if you open the GUI instance?

if you restarted the pc, you'll need to wait a minuet or so for the service to start...

awe!!! Gawd! Sometimes I wonder what is the matter with my head. I changed the IP and forgot to change the port forward on the router....
working now.
This why we never should change more than one thing without first testing.
