BI running VERY high CPU 95%+ (see Pic)

@ NoloC
Worked great!. Stopped my CPU climb dead in it's tracks.
I had fought the same issue before but i had forgotten the solution. Thanks for posting the detailed instructions and link, it saved me a bunch of digging around
I did get stuck for a minute on one step. see added steps below. I'm sure everyone on here can figure it out, but maybe it will save someone else some confusion.
  • Point to the "Graphics" sub-folder
  • Select file labeled "igdlh64" and click "Open"
  • Select "OK"
  • Select the Intel® Iris™ Plus Graphics 650 Driver found in the extracted zip file

This thread helped me too, thanks! I was aware of the memory leak issue, but didn’t have any problems when I only had 2 cameras (Dahua Starlight). As soon as I added 3 more cameras, the cpu spiked. Rolling back the Intel driver per the above instuctions brought me back down to 15%.

Actually, to clarify, I might not have had the defective driver when I set up the two cameras, (I never checked). But 2 recent Windows updates installed it (including that Creator’s update, right over my freshly-rolled-back driver, sigh).

also the cpu issue, however with the 21 driver, my framerates of all my cameras decrease suddenly sometimes, on latest bi release.

when HA is turned of it working just fine

Intel has a new driver out I think -- anyone try to see if this is fixed?
I am going to try the latest Intel drivers 15.60 (23.20.16.4849)
I have noticed similar issues with the cpu rising to 60-70% (probably would go higher, but I have BITools restart BI at 70% if it is there for 10 seconds) after recently installing the 15.45 version on my new machine. Probably didn't need to install the driver in the first place, everything looked to be functioning as it should. I will report back on my findings.

Intel is outright lying... That nonsense about dividing the workload between the processor and the memory is insane and makes no sense.... The proof is in the pudding there are bunch of users who have no issues running blueiris on Windows 10 using the correct drivers... There are hundreds of users here who have upgraded from 7 to 10 and will tell you that the CPU usage stayed virtually the same some higher some lower but on average the same.... There's also a high probability that they didn't pay for the software and ran the demo where H. 264 acceleration might not even be working... Finally a quick Google search will show you that the Intel H. 264 memory leak issue is not isolated to blueiris there are other software that have this problem... I would email support with a link to Intel statement so he can address it....
There may be something in the blue iris code with respect to H. 264 decoding that needs to be corrected who knows but to fabricate facts like Intel just did is repulsive...

I have two BI running on on a 6th gen I7-6700k with driver 21.20.16.4534 - Runs perfect 25% normal and maybe 40% at full tilt.
The second is a 7th gen i7-7700k with driver 21.20.16.4664 is a memory hog I have tried other drivers with no luck.
I cant even find the 21.20.16.4534 on intel's website or I would try it on my 7th gen if it would work.
Have also tried 22.20.16.4836 (latest) with no luck.
This is frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a dedicated 24/7 BI miniPC Core i7-4770T with 8GB RAM Win7 64bit. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600.

Will the 4664 work with this graphics processor? CPU usage is around 97% when BI window maximized. Minimizing BI window drops CPU usage to 10%. Memory utilization is 1.3GB so no problem there.

Might not sense you have a 4th gen processor

Simple truth, people that answer phones, reply on social media, or man the forums in nearly all cases have these jobs because they lack the skills and understanding for better positions. Oh, and work in retail sales.

Put it another way, these jobs pay minimum wage. Anyone with technical expertise can earn more than minimum wage. So you rarely, really rarely, find anyone with a clue answering phones, posting in forums, or advising you which TV to buy at Big Box Retailer. Really, they often go beyond not having a clue into being destructively incompetent.

Oh, and they don't have inside info. CEO's don't hang out in the call center and shoot the shit. Really, they don't.

When you get lucky it's usually a retiree looking for some extra cash part time or sometimes a kid putting in a few months before moving on to something better.

So, no, "updates from Intel" didn't suggest anything. Merely the post of an incompetent "community manager".

Install a cheap video card. It won't help with BI recording and such, but it will offload the BlueIris interface and can help with remote control software. Splashtop for example benefits from NVidia acceleration. You can look for a card that doesn't require an extra power cord plugged into it to keep your electric use down.

Extremely pissed off, Windows did an update on my I7-6700k taht had driver 21.20.16.4534 and now it's driver 22..20.16.4836. It was working flawlessly till this now CPU usage went from 30% to 90%.

there are instructions on the forum on how to prevent windows from updating drivers.

I didn't realize what it was doing. I have a saved copy of the old driver using "Double Driver" but its telling me that the updated driver is better and will not restore old driver. THAT'S WHATS ITS THEIR FOR!!!!.

you dont need double driver....just download the driver again....

I have searched for driver 21.20.16.4534 and have never found a link.
Intel does not show it.

OK, Thank gosh for backups. I had a copy of 21.20.16.4534 and was able to upload it and we will see what happens. I have attached 21.20.16.4534 file here for other to use as it has worked for me.

PLEASE let us know how it works for you guys.

Update, the 21.20.16.4534 is still doing wonderful! My system stayes at 30 to 45% at all times with 28 cameras most at 15FPS and a few at 25fps. All at high bit rates.
