I am trying to view cameras (LBV2521-C) connected to a Lorex LH2116 DVR and having a hard time configuring BI.
Learned from another post I might have to create a user name ( non-admin) for each cam and add each cam using the newly created accounts on the Lorex DVR. Created user BICAM1 and I am able to open the camera on VLC with the following command:

rtsp://BICAM1:password@192.168.1.89:80/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=1

However, I can't figure out how to configure it in BI.

Here is my info:

BI CAMERA VIDEO--> Find/Inspect returns the following:

Opening 192.168.1.89 port 80...
HTTP Get / request...
OK
ONVIF GetSystemDateAndTime
HTTP 404
Opening 192.168.1.89 port 8999...
ONVIF GetSystemDateAndTime
HTTP 12029
Checking for common cameras...
Foscam FI86xx/98xx compatible?
Foscam FI89xx compatible?
Foscam FI9821 V2 compatible?
Foscam FI9821 media port compatible?
RTSP port open?
RTSP port detected!
Done

here are my camera selection and settings ( path and params are based on selection of Make & model)

Make: Lorex
Model: LHV2116 RTSP
Video Path: /cam/realmonitor
Video params:channel={CAMNO}&subtype=0&authbasic={AUTH64}
Video Camera:1

Note: for some reason even though I specify the port on the address, I noticed it gets removed by BI.

I think the problem is the BI RTSP URL. I am not sure how BI is using the info on the video configuration to build the RTSP URL and hoping for some assistance.

Attached are screenshots of my settings.

Thanks in advance!

You dont need to create separate accounts for each camera...simply duplicate the settings for each camera and simply change the camera number in the video configuration tab.
Ensure the rtsp port is correct for the DVR and confirm username and password.

Thanks for the clarification on the username!

RTSP port 554 found in Lorex conection settings , along with RTSP format ( pic below). Is BI building the RTSP to match required format ? If not, how should the Path & params be changed/adjusted ?

BTW, I've tested the RTSP URL without the port number, in VLC, and it is working fine

rtsp://BICAM1:pass@192.168.1.89/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=1

Yes, blue iris has a database of hundreds of devices...
Generally, blue iris does not need the http port to be correct, but it may for the NVR...you dont have the correct http port..your http port is 8888 so enter 192.168.1.89:8888 in the blue iris settings... that is a colon before the 8888

Unfortunately, even port 8888 doesn't work . Verified and using port 8888 in RTSP URL , does show the cam video, in VLC.

BTW, I checked the model shown under Lorex Flir info and it is actually LHV2016-DFS3 . Tried selecting a different model in BI, but without luck

Maybe I started celebrating too soon! :) I've added 2 more cameras but even though I changed Video.Camera number all show CAMERA 1.....

Never mind.... Just Noticed "CHANNEL" under path and all is good now. What is the purpose of Camera number ?

/cam/realmonitor?channel=4&subtype=0&unicast=true&proto=Onvif

:)
