Hello:

Could you please share the best practice for local BI v.5 storage settings (new, old clips, etc.)

Blue Iris, WIndows, and BI database on a small SSD drive.
All recordings going to a Western Digital Purple drive.

Set all recordings to go to the "New" folder on the purple drive.
Set the allocation for the purple drive 10% less than it's full formatted capacity.
Do not set delete by age. Set to delete, not move to stored.
Set "stored" folder to 0 allocation.
Set "alerts" folder to 0 allocation.

If recording continuously on each camera, on the record tab, set combine or cut video to 1 hour and 4 GB. You really do not want really big files.

Verify your setting, on the BI status , look at the clip storage tab, there should NOT be an RED bars.

Thank you! So, if set "Do not set delete by age. Set to delete, not move to stored" you meant I will delete when necessary, correct?
