I have this version loaded and there is no problem with the alarm relays. perhaps you have an alarm trigger set somewhere.
Sorry, created a separate post about the same question. But does anyone know if the new update will work with IPC-HFW4431R-Z?
Yes it works, but be careful: IPC-HFW4431R-Z is chinese home market model and not supported outside. It has always-on p2p, and for some reason it sends out jpg files to alibaba servers. It also does not support all time zones (DST). I have stepped into this bucket, therefore i know. You better secure your network.
It has no internet access. But I have read somewhere before, that after update you can no longer manage the camera via the NVR.

Or worse, your NVR may not recognize it at all after the update. NVR's the past couple of yrs have region coding. If they don't like the region the cam is intended for, it won't work.
updated it this morning. Luckily everything still works, including the IPC-HFW4431R-Z =)

Anyone knows how to hide unused channels? My cameras are not plugged in to the ports in order and everytime app starts, it tries the first 4, which only has 1 active camera on it

Do you have both international and chinese cameras connected to you NVR with 4.0 firmware and it works well with all cameras?
correct. Most cameras are Andy's (international) and 1 is IPC-HFW4431R-Z which is for China market made "international" (no sdcard).
It also picked up my wifi Amcrest camera, which is Dahua rebrand, and that works well too. Went to 2019 and then 2021 firmware
Can you please describe your update process step by step? I also have a number of international cameras and a few chinese, including IPC-HFW4431R-Z , IPC-HDBW4433R-ZS, IPC-HDBW4431R-ZS.

And one more question. My IPC-HDBW4431R-ZS constantly breaks the connection (every 10 minutes or even more often) and NVR makes gaps in recordings. Do you have similar issues with your chinese cameras?

Backup your current configuration
Download your current firmware file, 2019 file (beginning of this post) and 2021 file
Install 2019 file
Unplug cameras and reset the NVR to hardware defaults (you will need to plugin monitor etc to the nvr for initial setup after that)
After it comes back and initial setup, plug the cameras back and check if they were picked up by NVR. If you cannot get them- roll back and restore configuration from backup
If all good, upgrade to 2021 file. I did not do reset after that
now, checking nvr, it appears that after upgrade it cannot check pre upgrade records - no files found. What was recorded after upgrade is fine

on the other topic... I have not checked it before, but when playing IVS event records (mini movies), there is a black screen pause when even it triggered and then it continues. I have seen it before (years back) in the forums. But again, I did not check if it was the same in the pre upgrade.

No, I'm talking about constant disconnect issue. In my recordings it is seem as gaps in footage from time to time (please see attachment)
Looks like it is something wrong with my chinese camera then... What firmware do you have on your chinese cam?
