Getting the hang of it
Just a question about bitrate since I'm still trying to feel this all out...
BI shows all of my cameras with bitrates lower then what I have them set to record to in the HikVision settings of each camera. I've been using CBR instead of VBR and the rates showing in BI are pretty consistent.
An example, I have 2 of my 4MP cameras recording at max resolution, highest quality at 6FPS, and its pushing around 200-250 kb/sec but I have the bitrate set for each camera at 2048 kb/sec.
Another example is the 4MP camera at the front door of my house. I'm going max resolution, highest quality and 20FPS and the bitrate displayed in BI on that one hasn't maxed out higher then 800-900 kb/sec while I have the camera bitrate set to 2048 kb/sec.
Would it be beneficial to lower the camera bitrate to something lower or should I just leave it where it is?
