Leaving out price and aesthetics, what are the real world pros and cons of the blue cave and ac68u? I see a lot of people on this site are pretty happy with the ac68u but does the blue cave gain or lose anything over the 68?
I spent a bit more and went with:
Could you please check something for me on the 2900?
Under AIProtection > Parental Controls > Time Scheduling...
It should show a table of blocked devices.
At the top of that table it should say "Client List (Max Limit: 16)"
Is it 16 on the 2900 too?
I would but I did not set it up yetI just ordered a few days ago to go with my new setup. But I hope someone else can check but if not I will check as soon as I am up and running.

So, it's two years later, and I grabbed a couple of Blue Cave routers when there was a significant price drop. The hardware has been somewhat unreliable. I had to return two of these Blue Cave devices because the wifi (both bands) would just spontaneously stop working. The signal would completely disappear, even though the firmware thought it was still up. I've been less than pleased with them, to be quite honest. The 86U however, has been my main/central router for over a year, and it's been rock solid, with no issues whatsoever.
I think 86u is worth the price.
Mine was $185 after tax... I had it for close to 2 years now and has been amazing.
Buy AC86, not 68 !!!!!!!
It's the same but MUCH better CPU for VPN performace.
AC86/AC2900 have some diffrent namnes, but its red stripes on the good one.
