When my motion triggers, the object moving gets covered up with purple/blue boxes. Is this caused by Blue iris or is it a camera setting?

Thanks

You have selected highlight motion in blue Iris.

Where is that setting, in the motion triggers menu?

If the camera in BI is set to "do not highlight motion" and it still does, then it's a camera setting :smash:

If the camera is set to "do not highlight motion" and it still does... ?
If it occurs only during clip playback then right click on the video and uncheck "Test run video through motion detector".

If it occurs during live view, then you either didn't disable the highlighting correctly or as Homer said it is part of the incoming stream which BI has no control over. I find the latter case unlikely.

Note that if you recorded clips without direct to disc then any motion highlighting done previously will have been burned into the video and cannot be removed now.
