There is no BI 5 IOS app in App Store. Current version supposedly support only BI4. I'm affraid if I buy this it will not work with 5 and later new app version will come with support only for 5. This is as it usually is done with other apps. Should I wait? Anyone tested current app with BI 5?

So even if you buy the software for 70 you have to pay another 10 for the app? Or does it come with the software purchase. Is this app the best way to get alerts and stream to your phone when using blue iris/pc as your nvr?

Yes you have to pay another entire 10 dollars, outrageous! Just keep using your NVR, it was completely free and comes with a free app. You just dont realize what a great value BI is. Most vms charge a per camera licensing fee at 50-150 per camera. The app is the best way to get fast push notifications. You will survive the 10 dollar fee. I promise.
FYI, BI is available for 58 dollars via the forum.

Yes I was just curious. Good to know about the forum discount ty

I think so, although some folks set up BI to send alerts as regular txt messages and use the built-in web server (referred to as UI3) to stream alerts/live to their phones.

Can the IOS app be setup to alert when a cam or cams are triggered? The way mine works I’d have to keep opening it in order to see that there have been more triggers since I last looked at it.

Of course..push notifications

I had the same question, particularly since the iOS app hasn't been updated since January (1.63.10). Since then the Windows application has had a major version update, and iOS has had a major version update (iOS 13) as well. You'd think that the iOS app description would get updated to say that it supports v5. I wasn't too excited to spinup a Windows Server VM and drop $80 only to find out that they weren't compatible when my current Xpenology / Surveillance Station setup is working satisfactorily.

I contacted support as I found a bug with the app and he told me a few months back that the app is due to be refreshed, when, no idea so we’ll just have to wait and see.

You are misinformed. The app is 100 percent compatible with bi5. Not sure why you would state otherwise.

I am just referring to the description in the App Store. I was concerned that it hadn't been updated in eleven months, but I'm glad that you confirmed that it is compatible with both Blue Iris v5 and iOS v13. So far, the evaluation version is running nicely on Windows Server 2019 in Hyper-V, so I'll probably purchase it now that you have confirmed that the iOS app is functional.

You can do email notifications too.

the $10 is nothing for the app.

My only issue is that when I go to alerts and start to scroll down it always freezes halfway down. I maybe should post a new thread but wanted to ask if anyone else had this issue? (this is the android app)
