Hi Guys, I have bought a bunch of new cameras, these ones - Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co. Ltd.

They have the new H265 + image.

Has anyone experienmented what is the best settings for a) the camera and b) blue iris in terms of best cpu usage/quality combination?

My current settings attached, but not much luck

If you haven't seen this, it has a lot of good info regarding Blue Iris:
Optimizing Blue Iris's CPU Usage

I'm not positive if Blue Iris does hardware acceleration for H.265. If your CPU supports Intel QuickSync, you can try enabling that in BI, then setting the cameras to H.264, and see if that lowers processor usage.

ok thanks for that. Is H.265 without the (+) still better to use than h.264? Ive read it is more optimsied and better and it seems blue iris supports it now?

ok Ill take your word for it.

Ive completed everything in the Guide.

Im wondering if there is another guide for hikvision cams - in particular, bitrate type, video quality, i frame interval, SVC, smoothing etc etc

You can sometimes just do a forum search for the camera model number and find some threads where people talk about that.
