I'm running Blue Iris on an Optiplex 755 with 8gb ram, 3.2 ghz dual core with a new install of Windows 10 and the latest Blue Iris version. I use this computer exclusively for the security cameras so it's not running any other programs, I set this computer up a couple of weeks ago to replace another optiplex which I had been using with a slower processor and only 4gb ram.
Ever since I started running this new setup, Blue Iris crashes more or less every 24 hours although it has sometimes lasted almost 48 hours, usually late in the evening, a dialogue box says "Blue Iris has stopped working". If I re-open Blue Iris it works fine again until the next time. Any ideas please?

Confirm that you are not running out if disk storage...

No, after only 24 hours of gathering clips the disk is well under 10% of capacity.

I assume you mean RAM - Is there a way I can look back at past usage or would I have to sit and watch the task manager until Blue Iris crashes?

Memory running at 31%, CPU varies between 99% and 100% so that (CPU) doesn't seem normal.

I'm having the same problem now. Started a few days ago, before the last update. Still happening after the update (4.5.8.5). Just crashes every few hours.
Lots of storage, using 3.75G out off 16G ram. If I make all cameras record CPU goes to 67.
