ive posted this 3 times now. when i playback footage via software its results in a blank black screen. however when i use a 3rd party software i get the video to play but it plays in FF and i cant change it (i.e play pause skip slowmotion). i have contacted blue iris multiple times and there seems to be little to no response their response time is horrible at best please some one help.

the information and technical approach is at the following link

play back failure black screen

okay so i have included all the settings for my current setup. as far as recording to BVR format i am the that's atleast what the file system in windows labels them.
aside from this what kind of information are you looking for?
none of those settings are relevant...post the camera properties video tab>configuration and the record tab and file format within the record tab...for each camera

okay here you go if there is any more information needed please let me know

a few other things to try if needed- first is try changing to a different monitor / screen resolution, if you are currently 1920x1080 try going 1280 x 720. also under your advanced screen settings then Monitor try changing your refresh rate, you may have to uncheck "hide modes that cannot be displayed", try a few different ones there, if your monitor flips out and doesnt come back on just hold tight for about 15 seconds and it will revert. - I have seen this be an issue when running HD TV's as a monitor(s).

The next step would be to update the video driver. usually you have to go through the computer vendor site to do this. if you know the video chipset in the PC currently you can remove the computer vendor installed driver/software and usually go straight to the source such as Intel and get the latest and greatest.

I have seen both of the above cause issues with both playback and live view.
