Blue Iris on iOS connects, sometimes

Hi. I have installed Blue Iris on a Dell OptiPlex and got an Asus router and set it up as an OpenVPN server.

I also downloaded Blue Iris on my iPhone.

When I am away, I would first connect to the VPN and then open the Blue Iris app. The problem is sometimes it would connect and sometimes it wouldn’t. It would give me some sort of server issue.

What am I missing? I would think if I set this up wrong, then I wouldn’t be able to connect all of the time. Help!

ensure the lan ip is entered in both the lan and wan box in the app.
