Blue Iris v5.2.7.3

I changed to edge vector when Gaussian was marked deprecated, and went from zone crossing to one zone because of it. I never could get edge vector to work reliably using zone crossing.

Edit: I got that reverse. I could never get zone crossing to work reliably using edge vector.
Same for me. Edge Vector reliably detects motion when using only one zone. Anytime I try zone crossing it fails miserably to detect motion.

5.2.7.5 is now out and seems to have fixed all my problems (28 cameras, using substreams to cut down CPU usage)
I can now double-click on individual cameras (in the main BI GUI) and see the high-res stream with no problems.
CPU usage is still nice and low.
Well done Ken! (I know, he doesn't check here)

Yes, agreed. Installed an CPU is lower now and no issues.

I was too quick. BI just crashed during clip playback.... so have rolled back to 5.2.7.7

I am not sure what is going on - my cameras crashed with 5.2.7.8 and I went back to a different model too. It is not good that the cameras crashed while sleeping so I could not do anything.

Getting this on .7 and .8 fairly often...

Agree - Edge Vector is terrible with Zones! All my cams with Zones using Gaussian.

But Gaussian is deprecated which means it may be removed soon. There was also an issue with it working a few versions ago, so I switched to Edge Vector and it seems to be working, although I don't use Zones much except to black out a few areas.

you must not have any swaying trees if you don't use zone crossing!

You are correct, it is still crashing, just not on all cameras for me now. 2 out of the 4 are still crashing during alert playback.
