BlueIris upgrade failure?

Hi,

I have had my BI system off the internet for quite some time. I did just purchase support for a year to get some updates.

My BI system is running 5.6.5.9 (12/7/2022). I have nightly imaging for backups on my internet'less lan.

I purchased the support package, downloaded the new BI & the updated didnt work. It lost all my cameras and settings, groups, etc.

I did restore it but wanted to know if there is a trick to doing the upgrade?

On one hand - i dont love how i have it setup now but it would be nicer to upgrade then play with the camera settings vs scrapping and starting over. Not sure if this is a common issue but wanted to ask for advise.

I have never seen the update delete all camera and settings, however you should always have a backup copy of your settings - you can export in the about tab....BI also auto exports these settings by default so you may actually still have them. The default location is C:\Program Files\Blue Iris 5
