BlueIris with PTZ and Motorized Varifocal Cameras

I am looking to setup a system for a buddy and he feels the need to have a PTZ and Motorized Varifocal Cameras, I would like to go the BlueIris route because I use it at my house and understand the basic features. Also like that I am not tied to a name brand

My concerns are

1. Will BlueIris support auto-tracking with the PTZ?
2. Can the motorized varifocal feature be used in BlueIris or does it have to be done with the camera webgui?

Blue iris simply records the stream.. doesn't care if the camera auto tracks or not.... Varifocal can be controlled in blueiris, it doesn't matter though it's a one-time setting varifocal is not designed to be moved after installation

yes, blue iris would do nothing, just record the video...its a gimmick you friend is wasting his money.
