Can anyone direct me to help me to unbrick my NVR. I've had it sitting at my house for years.
I've read many forums. They all start by NVR but then link all lead to unbricking Cameras. I don't want to unbrick camera's . I want instructors to unbrick an NVR DS 7404-NI-E1

Where do I start?
Don't want anything referencing files leading to hikvision Camera (it confuses me)

Yes I know how to TFTP and change my NIC to the ip address.

just need to know how to get off the beeping and get back on track to the updatest firmware.

What was done to brick it? - Firmware upgrade years ago.
Does it have the '15 beep bootloop'? - Yes
Does it show in SADP? -??

Thanks for your link I will now begin getting a usb to TTL converter.

So I bought a UART and zipped it because the link provided a pic how to connect the UART to the NVR. I didn’t know what pin was ground and what is Tx/Rx.
Also what UART should I buy next? Does the UART chip matter?

I find that the PL2303HX-based USB to serial TTL convertor, usually sold 'for Arduino' work OK.
They can be a bit fragile though when incorrectly connected, so it's best to buy several at a time, so cheap it doesn't matter.
