Hi all

Looking for some advise - a colleague in work we think has put an english version of some firmware on the above camera and it hasnt booted since

On the camera body it has firmware 5.3.0_150513

We have tried tftp but seem to go round in circles

At the moment the camera is eventually going to IP 192.168.1.64 and port 8000 in SADP

We cant do anything through - no telnet no broswer access or anything

We seem to have reverted to an older firmware V4.0.8build 150401

Appears to be similar to this guys post

Any idea on how we can resolve???

Also note we have tried waiting until the IP changes to 192.168.1.64 but the TFTP server doesnt work by this time - tried restarting it and the server is running on 192.168.1.128 but just sits there - it doesnt pick up a client at all

Weve tried various fimrwares from the orginal one ie 5.3.0_150513 but again we seem to be stuck in a loop

That's a signature of the camera being in 'min-system' mode - a recovery mode with no web services, entered when incompatible firmware has been applied.
Quite a lot of success has been had with this : Custom Firmware Downgrader 5.3.0 Chinese to 5.2.5 English
It may be necessary to change the language of the firmware header with this : Hikvision FIRMWARE TOOLS - change language, extract files and create own firmware

We have tried that and it says sucess but again just going around in circle really

Tried changing from chinese to english by modifying firmware - just to see if that would make any difference as we have tried the default included in the package and again nothing - presently wating for ip to change to .1.64 again

Scrap that - its working now it is going to 192.0.0.64 and we are able to login via a browser

It seems like the changing it to english worked
