Is this bulk cable any good? 23 gauge solid copper. The price and free shipping is attractive but not sure how difficult it is to work with shielded cable?

Shielded cables in general can be a pain. Do you plan on having a properly shielded network, or are you considering this cable because it’s cheap?
In terms of monoprice CAT6 cable, I’ve had no problems with it. Just finished a spool of this: Monoprice Cat6 250ft Blue CMR UL Bulk Cable, Solid (w/spine), UTP, 23AWG, 550MHz, Pure Bare Copper, Pull Box, Bulk Ethernet Cable - Monoprice.com good quality, easy to work with other than dealing with the spine but the spineless version wasmore expensive when I grabbed it

As mentioned the shielding is more of a nuisance to work with but nothing wrong with the cable itself.
I have had good luck with Monoprice cables.

I ended up buying a spool of this stuff from monoprice. It has spline but not individual foils to deal with. Also free shipping.

I bought 1000' of this cable, it is extremely well made. Way overkill for my needs but it is deeply discounted (probably due to connector complaints)
BUT, the RJ45's (qty 50) cost as must as 500' of this stuff.
The issue is the insulation is so thick, you have to use a connector that accepts a 22g, 1.5mm total diam wire.
LinkUp # B07BN3N9ZK was the third brand I tried, and it works well. I have had no failures making up these connectors.
