Camera not powering on

Hello, I am having trouble with a camera not powering on. Here are the details:
  • I had Cat6 cable pulled when our new house was being built a month ago (length much less than 100m)
  • I had three cables pulled to the corner of my house, and am installing two cameras in this location (one unused cable for redundancy/future)
  • I installed two cameras to this location without issue
  • A couple hours later, I noticed one camera was no longer connected
  • The other camera is still functioning normally
  • My troubleshooting steps:
    1. Power cycled the switch port
    2. Rebooted the switch
    3. Observed that the PoE icon was not visible on the connected port in the Omada controller switch port status
    4. Observed that the light/activity indicator led on the specific port on the switch itself was not on
    5. Tried the third (unused) cable that was pulled
    6. Tried a different switch port
    7. Tried a different patch cable
    8. Tried a different ethernet keystone in my patch panel
    9. Tried a different camera
    10. Brought the initial camera inside to test, and it powered up correctly on the same switch ports that I tried above
    11. Used a cable tester to verify RJ-45 connectors were installed properly (result was good)
Gave up on that corner of my house, and installed both cameras successfully in another location.

Equipment:
I don't understand why the camera worked initially, but then stopped working, even with other equipment.

Try re-terminating the camera end of the cable (ensure cable is fully seated and in correct order before crimping), that's your best case scenario. It's also possible some of the wires were damaged during construction, but perhaps not badly enough to fail a basic continuity tester. Use dielectric grease on the camera connections.

You might plug a coupler in where the camera goes and drop a cable down so you can run some tests from a laptop on the ground.
