The Internet explorer icon should be blue to allow access to the cameras why is it grayed out? See photo below705349A2-7EF9-4E01-87A2-779173744700.jpeg

Did you change the range of the switch on the NVR to 10.2.2.x? By default its 10.1..1.x

May need to check the settings on the switch...

Ok so your home network was 10.1.1.x so the NVR had an address from that range and the switch had to be changed.

I wonder if the Gateway needed changed as well? I would think the switch gateway would need to be 10.2.2.1

And reboot..........

I just switched over from old 4208 to a 5208p 4ks2e. I took forever to get my 5 cams up and running. Had to manually add them. I have nvr hooked up to internet/router but cant log into camera on web interface either. Looks like my nvr is not talking to my laptop. Dont know what to do. Also i deleted my device from idmss pro app and added new nvr and it sucks. Wont load video all the time No 20 sec motion clips, any ideas or help would be great bigredfish. Thx

1) Can you login to the NVR web GUI?

2) if so, can you see the Registration page with the blue IE icons?

3) if yes, post a screen cap of that registration page

Yes actually try IE

Assuming the NVR is Dahua and has a built in PoE switch, they won’t work because they’ve been manually added and are showing the 37777 port.

Refer to the PSA post.

I would unplug all cameras, reboot the NVR, then plug in one at a time and see if they will migrate to the bottom pane by themselves as intended. If they do, you’ll see they self assign ports 1,2,3 etc and not 37777 and you should see the IE icon to access them

Is virtual host enabled on the network page? It's what allows the NVRs internal NAT across ip/subnets. Found out awhile back by accident.

Will try that . I initially did that and they would not automatically load so we had to manually add them, its a brand new dahua 5208p 4k 8 poe ports. I had nvr hooked up to my internet router by cat 5. Here couple pics when i first added new 5442t ze bullet. BA2241FC-17F7-4F2B-B284-7D24D42B6936.jpeg0D8F5BEB-02E1-451D-8542-00F6E96F0C65.jpeg

Manually adding on a Dahua “P” NVR causes problems as I mention in the PSA. If it shows port 37777 the IE icon link will fail.

Sometimes is a patience thing. I would disconnect all cameras from the NVR,
reboot the NVR,
plug in one camera,
Wait
Reboot NVR again if needed
Wait

See if you can get one camera to be auto added and it should have the IE icon and a port # if 1

I use Pale Moon successfully (and IE) on V3 and V4 GUI, but I also don’t run off and update firmware every damn week so I’m likely on an older version.

@philisher1 Yours may be a pure Mac issue. I dont do Mac's so cant say for sure. I would find a PC to try it on just as a test to be certain

How did that camera get that IP address? The NVR didnt do it... did you plug the camera into an external switch or your router directly before you plugged it into the NVR?

I hooked up nvr out of box and connected ethernet cord from my router to back of nvr ethernet port. turned on and set up email password 3 security questions. I then connected cat6 from back of port 1 to a poe+ Single switch in then a cat 6 out from poe+ switch to brand new 5442E-ZE cam. That screenshot is what I initially got. Then we try to login from my laptop which was connected to the back of a POE port on the NVR and we were not able to log in to view the camera.

Interesting, so you connected to an external switch first (not sure why you didnt plug the camera directly into port 1 on the NVR?).
Every Dahua camera I've bought defaults to 192.168.1.108 .... perhaps to change the IP not to conflict with your NVR?

Im not a networking Pro. But if you would simply use your laptop on your network (assume same network as the NVR) NOT connected into the back of the NVR , can you get to the NVR web interface?

Plug the camera directly into the back of the NVR on one of its 8 PoE ports
