Can I use Mini PTZ Camera PTZ425DB-AT as LPR camera?

Can I use the ptz cam as lpr camera instead of the IPC-B52IR-Z12E S2? It's 25x zoom and has auto tracking which is cool to use later.
It has electronic shutter speed 1/1 - 1/30,000 which should work for lpr?

Note it does have a smaller sensor .. so that does impact low light performance.

The problem with using a PTZ cam for LPR at night is that it may not focus fast enough to get a good read as the cars go by.

But the only real way to find out is to try it.

Pick a camera for a purpose and use it for that purpose, don't double dip.
