Hi!

I bought a Hikvisio DS-2CD2135F-IS Dome camera. I tried to install the cam, but I can't see the camera on my computer.

What I did allready:
- Set my router on 192.0.0.1 (DHCP range on 192.0.0.100 - 192.0.0.255)
- Set subnet on router to 255.255.255.0
- Connect my computer by WiFi on the router: 192.0.0.101
- Connect the camera with a PoE injector through UTP on the router
- Plug in the power adaptor for the PoE injector: the camera starts up (yellow led's in the camera, and the IR-leds starts shining)
- I can see the camera for a few seconds on my laptop with PING on 192.0.0.64, but after ca. 10 seconds the camera disapears and I can't see them at all. Even not through the SADP tool from Hikvision)

Tried already:
- other UTP cables...
- power on the cam, and DIRECTLY click on REFRESH in the SADP tool: no succes
- tried to open http://192.0.0.64 in the browser... : no succes

Help?! Does anyone recognize the problems? Hope you can help me.

It's normal that the camera starts up on 192.0.0.64 for a few seconds - that's how it checks if there is a tftp update server available.
After that it moves to it's configured IP address.
SADP is your friend, it will find the camera across IP subnets.
But it's a bit cranky over WiFi, so what I suggest is:
Put your router configuration back the way it was.
Cable the laptop to the router.
Power on the camera.
See what shows in SADP.
You could try uninstalling / reinstalling SADP in case the networking extras it uses did not install properly.

Ahh! Thanks, that works! You're my friend! After putting my laptop through UTP cable on the router, SADP see the cam directly!!
