Change Hikvision DVR from Chinese to English

Hi all,
I just bought Hikvision DVRs DS-7104HC-E1, DS-7104HGH-E1 from a reseller at Alibaba.
Firmware 3.1.4 and can't telnet, ssh.
I tried to use the firmware modification tool (http://www.ipcamtalk.com/showthread.php/2733-Hikvision-FIRMWARE-TOOLS-change-language-extract-files-and-create-own-firmware), and Update failed.
Anyone having an idea how to get it back to english?

That's not a firmware version or NVR model I'm familiar with.
It may be worth asking the seller for a copy of the original firmware so you can use the TFTP recovery on it.
