Ok Boy do i feel stupid, ive had cameras and all kinds over the last 10 years.
why can't i change the ip of the camera?
i'm using the latest config tool, i can see the camera and select it.
i change my ip from 192.168.1.30 to 192.168.87.112.
hit the refresh button and nothing.
then i tried to initialize, changed the default password (it asked me too).
now the ip has not changed and i have an error the password is wrong.
ok in the config tool i figured i'll reset. so the reset talks about qr codes or xml files and emailing someone from dahua.

i'm done for tonight, i'm starting to loose my patience. which is my fault.

tnx,it's SD52C225U-HNI

i sorted it out, had to put the new password in the search box.
it's my bad, 16 hour day and then messing with the new camera.
i'm letting go tonight as i need sleep.
quick question for dahua users, can you change the user name from admin?

Tnx
Night.

No, but you can add another user account.

Im having similar issues. Done all the resets, changed pc to same subnet as cam.192.168.1.108 . ex 192.168.1.9
Tried to add cam to a network with 192.168.0.108
Keep getting either network error or password incorrect?
Ive done this 6 times before but cant see what im doing wrong? :(
Cam is HDW4433C-A

if you are using the dahua tools app, what does the camera show if you click on it?

what camera should i choose for blueiris?

Read the Cliff Notes in the WiKi in the blue bar at the top of the page. What camera you need is an extremely open ended question and no one, other than you, can determine that. Stick with Dahua, Hikivision or IPCT cameras and don't buy hacked firmware stuff off of Ali or EBay.

should have been more descriptive.
i have the SD52C225U-HNI , blue iris can find it and it works. but it's listed as onvif.
if i try and change it to dahua, it stops working. i figured only the main stream rtsp would do but it does not work.
