Chinese region original NVR firmware for DS-7716/32N-K4

Hi guys,

would anyone have an original DS 77xx, Kx series firmware? I can find the EN version but I think my NVR is an N and not an NI version so I need the original chinese firmware if anyone has a copy or can access one. The Hikvisinon website only has downloads for 71,78 and 79xx series, just not 77xx series....and even within the 77xx series there are multiple variants, I'm looking for the K variants.

Any help would be appreciated..

Your NVR is a different model from the one in this thread.
Is it possible that you simply used the wrong firmware?
What is the exact model, and what exact firmware did you apply to your NVR?

Yes it is possible I used the wrong firmware, but I am trying to restore it back, I have tried using the TFTP tool (set PC to 192.0.0.128 and I can ping 192.0.0.64 but wont transfer digicap.dav) but nothing is working for me at the moment

i managed to pluginto the serial port and press Ctrl-U to start the firmware update but any firmware i try will not work
can anyone recommend the correct firmware?

i managed to pluginto the serial port and press Ctrl-U to start the firmware update but any firmware i try will not work

What actually happens when you try the upgrade that way?
Does it download the digicap.dav?
Does it reject the file, if so with what error?
Does it boot then complain with some error?

I downloaded the firmware and when applying it I get a language mismatch error so I found the hiktools utility and changed it to CN (hiktools lang digcap.dav 2) now when it boots I get a message saying 'you devicxe is illeage, please call factory!!'

I can't even get it to respond on serial port... can u share some instructions on how you got that to respond? I tried a USB to serial adapter on my laptop and then opened up Putty.. just get a blank screen even though the COM port is apparently opened and connected.

This would have to be a Serial TTL to USB, as opposed to an RS232 to USB.

then opened up Putty..

Configured with baud rate=115,200 8 bits no parity?

Yes I see it, but mine is 5 pins...not sure which pin's which... any ideas?
