The exact reason we do not give them internet access!

Chatter it is from devices with XiongMai Technologies components inside.

No surprise either, as this below is from over 6 years ago!

The DDoS threat from IoT has been documented and warned of for years. (On top of the many local privacy and system security flaws.)

It's unlikely that a true Ukrainian attack left a signature pointing to themselves - it's 99.9% probable that KGB-Putin's people (occupying large parts of Ukraine) did it as a psyop.

Very true.

Also true but I don't think the Ukrainians could care less about anyone finding out if in fact they originated it.

The outage affected Microsoft, AWS and others. I watched it unfold in real time on Checkpoint's map and the outage reports come rolling in on DownDetector.

It may have been directed at X but there was a fair amount of collateral damage to some very big systems.

I don;t put a high trust on the Yahoo article using "Wired" as their source

Ukrainians are not going to DDOS Elon, those who know are thankful to have starlink .. yes, they do get frustrated with some who make pro-Russia statements while their brothers fathers and cousins are dying due to this war Putin started.

There is simply no reason for Ukraine to DDOS X .. it provides no longer term benefits at all.

It’s got its flaws but it’s a good early warning clue
