Hi all,
A search of the Cliff Notes document produces no results for the word "battery", "wireless", "WiFi", etc.
Nobody who comes into the forums reads the Cliff Notes/Wiki, and everyone in their first misguided post is pointed that way.
It might be helpful to flesh out the first page of the Cliff Notes a bit, with more of a FAQ about the misconceptions we see all day every day. That could include powering cameras from batteries, using WiFi, using dollar store cameras, setting the bar too high (using fisheye lenses or attempting to cover an acre of land with one camera), using 2.8mm lenses for identification, trying to perform LPR and identifying individuals at the same time, etc. etc. etc.
