They didn't have this model when I was ready to purchase. I have this: Amazon.com: Davis Instruments Vantage Pro2 Weather Station (Wireless): Sports & Outdoors
It's great at tracking all the data. Records every 5 minutes. Admittedly, it's a little bit overkill, but I enjoy weather statistics.

Actually it's a Acurite Pro. Very cheap at Samsclub. I did have to buy a smart hub, but the display is great.

I also made my own mount for it, wasn't real big on the plastic one that came with it. I was afraid the sun would weaken it.

IMG_4960.JPG IMG_4962.JPG Nice bracket! Mine will be mounted to a flat surface so I don't need any thing to elaborate. So I unwrapped my PTZ and it is nice!!
One issue while inspecting it. The moisture absorb packets they put inside. One of the packs had a hole in it and the tiny beads were floating around the inside of the cam! Yup that was fun since the ones they use are clingy. Has to remove the camera carriage inside to vacuum them out.

Bench test hooked up and it worked right out of the box. Works with direct NVR control and IDMSS app one my iPhone.

I am going to test it for a few days and then get it up.

Is that the default bracket it comes with? Looks pretty nice.@tinman I'm going to do exact same thing.except my house is smaller than yours

I decided to upgrade my Reolink RLC-423 with the SD49225T-HN... all was going well until I hit a road block at AliExpress. Honestly, how do they sell anything if people have this much trouble paying for things? Jack Ma can suck it if that's what passes as customer service to him. Whatever... LOL

Anyway, the order is there and I've tried to pay 3 times, checked all my "verified by visa" stuff is right, but it keeps tossing it. Guess I'll wait to see if the bank gets a hold of me or I'll call them. It's late, it can wait 'til the morning I guess. Be patient with me Andy, I'm trying. :)

I know payment for US guys not easy. So we can use paypal as other guys do. Aliexpress too bad....

Anyone elses camera take 4 and a half minutes to finally start responding to pings and become operational? It also makes this horrid whining sound from the stepper motors, it's like they're not being driven correctly

Andy is the man. I am already planning out my next camera. Looking for a good fixed camera to watch the front door.
The PTZ I just got covers the front yard, drive and I can preset it to zoom in on the front door for a different view.
Your not going to get on the property without being seen !

I can tell you mine makes noise when operating it. From what I have read it seems normal. I would bench test it for several days before putting it up. Break the baby in.
Mine started up in seconds. I am plugged directly into the NVR .
How are you connected to the camera? Maybe that has something to do with the long start up.

Just using its web page. I have a ping running on the command prompt and if I power cycle it or press the restart PTZ button it takes the 4 minutes to start. I checked my switch for an ARP entry and there is nothing until the camera has fully booted.
 
Figured it out, I needed an 802.3at POE injector not an 802.3af that I currently have. It's interesting that it powered on at all. Everything booted normally when I used a power pack and enabled portfast on the Cisco switch. Now the next challenge is finding a POE+ switch or injector in the next week.
 
PoE is the 802.3af standard, and PoE+ is the 802.3at standard.
The main difference between the 802.3af (PoE) and 802.3at (PoE+) standards is the maximum amount of power they provide over the Cat5 cabling or Cat.
The maximum amount of power for the 802.3af (PoE) standard is 15.4 watts.
The maximum for the 802.3at (PoE+) standard is 30.0 w

So you may not have had enough power going to the unit and it took a long time to come to life.

Need to search the posts here. I thought I had seen a POE+ injector posted. The last info I posted and removed was the wrong one . Sorry bout that. Deleted it so not to confuse anyone. I have 3 POE switches but run my cameras from the NVR.

Careful, you can damage a camera that way apparently
 
I honestly thought the TPLink I was running it off was 802.3at, guess I was wrong. I did see your post via email and it gave me an idea. I'm checking ebay for passive splitters. I can use the plugpack/splitter at the BI server and just use the splitter on the camera. Don't need an 802.3at injector in that case.
