Can anyone help build a soundfile which only rings at the beginning then quiet for 30 sec. I am not that great in hacking firmware and don't want to kill the device.
Concerning the question about the Light on the name tag. You can disable it in the web interface (it is called sensor reduce it and it wont turn on so easy)

So changing the ringtone is not possible with the web interface, it's strange no?

Pulling my weight
Well, FW is signed since 2018 - you cannot modify tones easily anymore.
But I found at least a way to install any mp3 file as a ringtone on the VTH's. Read this to understand the "hacking" and then VTO-VTH-konfiguration-%C3%A4ndern-mit-der-dahua-json-debug-console-v2 (sorry, in german only) for the rest.
