Dahua Intercom Customization? Any ideas?

Can anyone help build a soundfile which only rings at the beginning then quiet for 30 sec. I am not that great in hacking firmware and don't want to kill the device.

Concerning the question about the Light on the name tag. You can disable it in the web interface (it is called sensor reduce it and it wont turn on so easy)

So changing the ringtone is not possible with the web interface, it's strange no?
Everybody in the world with a dahua VTO as the same ringtone,

I would like to bring this up again, as I never managed to add new ringtones.

Dahua even added a video tutorial on their site:

I followed this, put the .pcm files I exported with Audacity on a Card (FAT formatted)
in a subfolder called "Ring" but they don't even show up.

Dahua VTH1510 SIP Firmware V4.300
2 GB Card, FAT formatted
Mono ringtone, exported as headerless raw, 8 Bit signed 8 Bit PCM (tried 16 Bit, too)

Has anyone some working ring sounds to share to see if they show up for me?
I can't figure out where the problem is (card size? card format? folder name? file name? file format? etc.)

I recall that I played with this some years ago.
Afaik there were problems with the filesize that was too big.
I worked arround this by downloading the files from the device (in fact extracting it from a fw-upgrade image), opening it in audacity and then replacing the audio by something I wanted. This was then saved in the format the original file had.
It's very important that the files remain as tiny as the oringal ones are (only some kb big). So you have to keep quality and length as low as possible.
