So did Dahua begin the Manual check for software based on a specific series of cameras or would all new cameras and firmwares have this feature ?

I think they started last year some time because the firmware I got was dated like Sept of 17.. cannot speak for the Chinese stuff. I posted a pic of it when I did a quick review of a Newer 24 channel NVR I installed a few months back.New Dahua 24 Channel NVR(POE) New security features(N54ANP)

24 Dahua cameras and Blue Iris Software. Curious what a NVR will do for me since Blue Iris is mouse driven and so easy to control
Its like Ford and Chevy! You like what you like, In my situation the Installs are going in a Institutional setting I have to manage. I find it easier for me to go this route. Lots of people do it with BI also, their are TONS of threads of this subject here so search it out for yourself.
