I couldn't find any video from one of these cameras so I bought a couple from Andy. Here's a sample from the DH-IPC-MBW4431-AS.
Keep in mind this is an externally mounted and there was a little road dirt and rain on the lens.

Thanks Billy,

Would be delighted to learn more about this camera and see some moving pictures.

Was it difficult to setup on the car?

Not hard at all. Just a commitment to permanent install. I use a cheap wireless router and gdmss app. Works perfectly. I also added a vicovation that let's me run them when the car is off for a select time or battery voltage.

Very permanent.
Nice! Gonna have to pick up a few of those myself. Could you describe everything you used to set this up? Is it networked in any way or just local sd card storage? Very interesting. I've been interested in installing some fisheye cameras in my tractors to monitor employee work habits, as well as catch some vandals. I have six crews in need of monitoring and would love to have access to view through a 4G network device, if one exists. Any suggestions?

@Kevin Penney Dahua does make a recorder with 4g access i have been talking to Andy about it and ordered 1 of these cams.

4 Channel PoE Mobile Network Video Recorder

MNVR1104

I tried to get one from Andy but Dahua didn't have it anymore. They had a wireless NVR but no poe which didn't fit my need.
I guess you could just attach the newer NVR to a Poe switch and it would work. More $$$
I get about 48 hours of video on my 128gb cards. That's about a full week of everything I do. Only if the car is parked for more that 4 hours does the battery get low enough for the vicovation to turn them off. At those times my car is covered by work cameras or home cameras. Not much crime here, just a hobby. I'm up to 24 around and in the house.
5432nvr 18 starlights outside and a few of the 5830 8mp 4k inside. It's all working perfectly. Just caught my mail man crushing a package.

I talked to Andy yesterday and said it would be march to get the mnvr1104 with all the options. gps, 3g, and wifi modules.

Still haven't decided if i am gonna order it yet but did order 1 of these 4k cams to checkout.

All mine are hobby also need to find a cheaper hobby. Lol

Could probably put a 12v to 110v inverter in the vehicle and power a whole system. DVR NVR what ever and all cameras. I had thoughts of doing that which would probably be better then a dash cam

Your in as deep as I am. LOL.
I built a BI server, nice I7, 32gb ram, OS and BI on SSD. Over the course of 2 days the processor use would start at 12 and Max at 100 till BI would miss frames on video. Moved to the nvr and I record 24hours a day. Not one glitch for 4 months.
On another topic, I use Exacq for work. 117 cameras on 1 i3, 16gb ram that records to a 40tb nas. (162) cameras in total in 1 building.
It has worked perfectly for 6 years now. The best NVR software I have even seen. Too bad it's $100 per cam to start and then $50 per cam per year for licensing. I should test a Dahua camera on it, we only use axis at work. I think they are way over priced.

That would be great. I wonder what the power consumption would be? My 2 mobile cameras pull 500ma with IR on.

I set up a mobile rig a while a go with a inverter for a NVR, router PTZ cams and it works very well as a mobile unit.
If I remember correctly the draw was ~6amp... >700w with everything powered up.

I have an amcrest NVR 4108 and when I opened it up to put hard drive in there was only a 2"x3" board in it then cable to the buttons. And it's 12 volt power might put in a smaller case for use in a vehicle. Since it's 1080p 8 cams.

I bought to use on a job site that has no power everything is run off 3 car batteries with cell connection for remote viewing. Runs a couple weeks with IR on before changing out batteries

The problem with these inverters is they are modified sine wave inverters. With electronics it's recommended to go with a pure sine wave inverter.
They cost a bit more, but it is cleaner power and with electronics there is less chance you will have issues.

@jmcu setup is sweet and the only way to run ptz cams.

For fixed cams and recording while driving it can be done with the right home NVR and router/access point you can run everything without a inverter since most of the cheaper devices have 12 volt wall warts powering them.

For $200.00 I can have 8ch 1080 NVR connected remotely to a cellular hotspot for full time access. That'll run for a few days before battery in vehicle is dead. A PTZ will drain it in several hours. Lol

Electronics can do ok on modified sine wave. Inductive loads like a mini fridge or power tools are the ones that really can't handle it. Computers with PFC also don't like modified sine waves.

For a mobile set up, the most efficient option would be to keep everything DC. Converting ~12vdc to 120vac psuedo-sine wave and back to 12-48VDC for various devices can be very inefficient.

Cascade 2 devices with 80% efficiency and you're down to 64% efficient.

if you're looking at a mobile nvr with 3g or 4g, you'll need to pay very close attention to what cellular bands it supports. It may not be bands used in your country.

This is true! Purchased a device that connects to mobile networks for data access, and it only works with AT&T. I'm on Verizon.. AT&T wanted a small fortune to get a single data line SIM card. I can tether it to Wi-Fi just fine, but no stand alone use. I have not found any devices out of China that work with Verizon, come to think of it.
