Dahua N3wbie , can’t figure out why IVS events won’t record

You can also use the min/max size, to discard detection of human who is far away.
If a human is far away, its size will be smaller than if he is close to the camera.
Ah okay, thank you very much. Do any of you use Smartpss Lite?

No, I just liked that it triggers when someone walks into my driveway. I have adapted it slightly.

That looks fine.

Many of us use SmartPSS /Lite . Great live viewer, playback, and downloading clips. Much better than the NVR GUI IMHO

What I am wondering is where I can activate the siren and the lights of my Tioc camera myself as in the app or the camera menu. Do you happen to know that?

Nope sorry, I stay as far away from TIOC and 180 cams as possible.

I’m new to Dahua , and I must say that the backwards web interface is maddening in many respects, but I think I finally got a handle on it.

Just when I thought I was getting confident understanding the web UI (5, this is my first EmpireTech-IPC-Color4K-T180 cam) , I discovered that the IVS rules that I set up seem to be taking and storing pictures when the events trigger but NOT recording to the local SD card and it is baffling as to why.

These SMD enabled events (human/vehicle) are meant to take pics and to record 30 seconds of video on trigger.

I’ve tried turning just regular motion detection on too and can’t get that to record either . I’ve checked the motion recording schedule and it is on the default settings with events and alarms on 24 hours and general off for 24 hours. The only way I can get any recordings to show up is by turning the general (green bar) on but then of course it records all the time…

Ive RTFM and I’m lost , so I’m turning to the wise minds here for help , as I’m clearly inexperienced with this platform so far.
Hey,
Sorry I don't know if this is the same thing that I have faced while using hikvision nvr with dahua or prolux ip cams.
The MD would not record when enabled just lately accidentally cracked it by run the ip cam on normal Plug and play with hikvision protocol mode settings. Once it runs viewing then change the settings to manual, onvif with admin user, admin password..wait till its running.
Disconnecting the port physically then reconnect and everything works great and records on MD.
I've informed my supplier of the fix as few installers were baffled before like I did.
Hope this works for you. Khal
